MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONALS COORDINATOR

On behalf of the Hornbill Nationals organizing team, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to each and ‘23
every one of you as we gather for a week of golfing excellence at the picturesque Koro Creek Bushveld Golf
Estate in Modimolle.

Established with a vision to provide golf enthusiasts with a world-class experience, Koro Creek has a rich his-
tory dating back to its inception. Originally designed by renowned golf course architect DDV Design Group,
the course has evolved over the years, weaving a tapestry of tradition and modernity.
We are excited to announce a full field of 360 players, creating an atmosphere of spirited competition and ca-
maraderie. Amongst the participants, we are thrilled to host 58 international players, adding an extra layer of
global diversity to our esteemed tournament.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to David Riddle (Golf Director) and his dedicated team for their
tireless efforts in preparing a golf course that is nothing short of spectacular. The lush greens and challenging
fairways are a testament to their dedication, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.

The Estate manager, Martin Rose, and his staff have prepared a tremendous clubhouse atmosphere and all the
amenities. The Grab n Go halfway house has been well thought out and we are sure you will experience true
Bushveld hospitality.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our sponsors, whose generous support has made this tournament possible.
We would like to acknowledge them by name: SAB, Taylor Made, and Hollywood Bets. Your commitment to
the sport and our event is truly commendable.

A special appreciation extends to our hardworking Organizing Committee and everyone who played a part in
orchestrating this event. Your dedication has been instrumental in preparing a seamless and enjoyable experi-
ence for all participants.

As you indulge in the golfing action, we encourage you to take advantage of the amenities provided. The Cow-
boy Bar awaits you with refreshing beverages, courtesy of our sponsors, and premium entertainment. Relax,
unwind, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes this tournament so special.

Beyond the greens, we invite you to explore the diversity of Modimolle and its surroundings. From scenic
landscapes to cultural treasures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Make the most of your time here,
both on and off the course.
In African mythology, Hornbills are revered as bringers of rain, symbols of good fortune, and bearers of hope. GROWING TOGETHER
May the spirit of the Hornbill resonate with you and accompany each of you throughout the tournament,
bringing with it the promise of success, prosperity, and the joy of shared moments on the greens.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to Theresa van Staden,
CEO of the Weesgerus Resort, and the dedication of her staff. Theresa has
been instrumental in all the arrangements right from the inception. She
guided us with shuttle arrangements, the venue decoration, music and in
particular with accommodation at Guesthouses outside of the resort.

The commitment and dedication received from Theresa, David and Mar-
tin is beyond measure.
