Ruimsig Match Report
Many thanks to Tony Shaw, Sean Johnson and Sheldon Botha who started at Ruimsig. The day ran smoothly with the field running initially around 10 minutes early and finishing off around 2 minutes behind. The conditions were clear and the course was in good condition, except for the greens having been treated for a poa annua problem, however still very playable. There was 104 players with the average points for the day at 28 and only 3 guys got cut.
Significant Dates – December
There is only 1 significant birthday coming up in December, Garth Elliott turns 55. Congratulations to you Garth.
Only 2 tie awards in December, Roy Mentis receives his 30 year tie and Noreen Cusins hits her 30 year milestone, well done to both.
Not too many weddings in December, I guess everyone is focused on holidays at this time of year. Congratulations to Roz and Alec Lewis – Williams who celebrate their 40th anniversary and to Richard Isaac who celebrates his 35th Anniversary.
After a very busy Nomadic year the tour calendar has now come to an end, we had some fantastic tours this year culminating in the Swazi Nationals and WP anniversary, I would like to urge all nomads (new and old) to participate in next year’s tours. They are well worth the effort.
We had another fantastic Swazi Nationals, A memorable weekend with a fantastic cowboy bar, which was given full support by the Gauteng contingent. The course was challenging but very well maintained, and I am pleased to announce no pink cap for me this time. The last, but by no means least, big jump up for Gauteng for the year is our 55th/Christmas cup at Randpark which promises to be a memorable event.
I look forward to seeing you all there
